meet The Missoko bwiti tribe

🎙 Recorded live at Bwiti House in Gabon, Africa, Skip from the Living Indubiously Podcast (#57) shares an unforgettable conversation with our 10th Generation Bwiti Missoko Nima (Shaman), Moughenda Mikala. Together, they dive into the sacred Bwiti tradition, exploring the profound physical  and spiritual  healing powers of the tradition . They also unpack the challenges of the Western mindset and reveal why the bwiti initiation’s transformative potential is no longer a secret .

Plant medicine

Celebrated as the ultimate ancestral medicine, this sacred botanical ally has been revered for over 12,000 years by one of the oldest continuous civilizations on Earth. In Gabon, it is so profoundly respected that it is enshrined in the national constitution as a cultural treasure and strategic resource.

Known for its extraordinary healing powers, this plant embodies both masculine and feminine energies. It draws its transformative strength from the bark of its root a powerful symbol of how it reaches deep beneath the surface to address the true source of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual imbalances.

Just as a weed must be pulled out by the root to prevent it from growing back, this ancestral medicine targets the root causes of suffering. It activates profound, lasting change by working across all levels of the self body, mind, heart, and spirit simultaneously. It speaks a universal language of truth, one that resonates differently for each individual, yet always leads to deep clarity and renewal.

At Bwiti House, we are committed to offering only the purest and most ethically sourced form of this sacred plant, gathered in harmony with traditional stewards from the forested heart of southern Gabon. Every harvest follows a sacred ritual process passed down by generations, preserving its spiritual and therapeutic integrity.
